BetOpenly X OddsJam - NFL Week 9

OddsJam | BetOpenly’s NFL Picks of The Week

My Degens, My Degens,

We are here in week 9 of the NFL season. We saw 8 underdogs cover, which has not been the case these last few weeks. The three teams in the NFL ATS this year are the Colts (7-1), Washington (6-1-1, and Detroit (6-1). The three worst teams in the NFL ATS this year are Carolina (1-7), Miami (1-6), Tennessee (1-6).

Do these six teams continue to perform as good/bad as they have been ATS this year? This week, the Colts are underdogs AGAIN! Can Flacco lead them to a win/cover against Minnesota, a team coming off of two losses? Let’s take a look at some games and a prop this week.

Lions vs Packers
4:25 p.m. EST FOX

Why you should bet on the Lions:

  • The Lions are 6-1 ATS this year.

  • Dan Campbell is 43-17-1 ATS in his career, per TrendCenter

Why you should bet on the Packers:

  • Teams who are off a 21+ point win are 34-70-5 ATS per TrendsCenter. Lions won last week 52-14

  • Matt LaFleur is 24-11 as a dog ATS. This is the best record of any coach in the Super Bowl Era.

Colts vs Vikings
8:20 p.m. EST NBC

Why you should bet on the Colts:

  • Colts are the number one team in the NFL ATS at 7-1.

  • The Indianapolis Colts are 6-3 (66.7%) against the spread in their last 9 games on the road

Why you should bet on the Vikings:

  • The Indianapolis Colts are 2-9 (18.2%) in their last 11 games as an underdog

  • The Vikings are 5-2 ATS this year.

Player Props

For player props this week, we are looking at T.J. Hockenson over receiving yards. Hockenson has gone over his total in the last 10 games and 23 of the last 24 games. The Vikings will be going up against a Colts defense that ranks 24th against the pass in the NFL. The over 38.5 yards at +100 on BetOpenly has some great value. The historical trend for T.J. Hockenson is here via the OddsJam App. Other trends/leagues can also be found on the OddsJam App.
